Job summary

Verus Research in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Laser Instrumentation Technician to support HEL destructive testing and modeling. You will install, align, calibrate, operate, and maintain diagnostic and data-acquisition systems to meet test objectives.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with laser diagnostics, optical and electronic measurement systems, and safe operation of Class 4 lasers. This full-time role emphasizes collaboration with scientists and modelers in a fast-paced research

Qualifications

• Experience installing, aligning, and operating instrumentation on high-energy or high-power laser systems.
• Proficiency with data-acquisition systems and test equipment used for laser diagnostics.
• Ability to troubleshoot alignment and data-quality issues and document configurations.

Responsibilities

• Develop instrumentation layouts for complex test configurations.
