Job summary

Areté seeks an Electromechanical Testing Technician in Niwot, CO to assemble, calibrate, and test AIRTRAC lasers with a team of scientists and engineers. The role focuses on laser alignment, measurement, and environmental screening in a full-time, non-supervisory capacity.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years’ experience or an AA/AS in a technical field, strong documentation skills, and a detail-oriented approach to testing complex optical equipment. Competitive benefits and an ESOP are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience or an AA/AS in a technical/engineering field.
• Ability to follow professional documentation and record test results thoroughly.
• Experience assembling and testing laser-related systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble laser systems and align lasers on test benches.
• Calibrate and test production lasers and perform environmental screening tests.
• Setup and operate complex optical equipment independently or with an optical engineer.
• Conduct optical measurements to support alignment, fabrication, and performance testing.
• Document procedures and test outcomes with attention to detail.
