Qualifications

• CPR/AED certification is required.
• Minimum six months teaching in a group exercise environment.
• Maintain nationally recognized Group fitness certification by ACE, AFAA, ACSM.

Responsibilities

• Leads and delivers group fitness classes based on standards and scheduled formats.
• Instructs participants on proper techniques and modifications for all fitness levels.
• Ensures clear verbal instructions, appropriate music tempo, and positive atmosphere.
• Coaches and motivates participants to reach fitness goals and monitors for signs of injury.
• Interacts with participants, orients new members, and solicits feedback to boost retention.
• Maintains form, safety, and professional appearance; coordinates substitutes to avoid cancellations.
• Repairs equipment issues and notifies management of facility needs.
• Records hours and class attendance; attends required staff meetings and training.
