Job summary

Gold's Gym in Kyle, TX is seeking a Group Exercise Instructor to lead group fitness classes in a safe, professional environment. You will instruct proper techniques, energize participants, monitor for injuries, and adapt formats for all fitness levels.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/AED certification and basic first aid training is required.
• Minimum of six months teaching in a group exercise environment.
• Maintain nationally recognized Group fitness certification by ACE, AFAA, ACSM.
• Knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies and choreography and safe transitional movement patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver group fitness classes based on standards and approved formats; begin and end on schedule.
• Instruct participants on techniques; demonstrate exercises and modifications for all levels.
• Provide clear verbal instructions and maintain motivating class atmosphere; manage music tempo and volume.
• Coach and motivate participants to achieve fitness goals; monitor for signs of injury or overexertion.
• Interact with participants; orient new members; solicit feedback to improve participation and retention.
• Ensure participants use correct form; offer variations to accommodate all levels.
• Maintain positive professionalism; adhere to gym attire standards and policies.
• Coordinate and schedule a substitute instructor to avoid cancellations; deliver classes as posted.
