Job summary

Certified of New York Inc. is seeking a detail-driven Construction Estimator for luxury commercial and residential projects in New York City. The role emphasizes precision, collaboration, and a fast-paced environment within our estimating department.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in construction estimating (commercial and residential, high-end preferred) and proficiency with takeoff software. This is a full-time, in-person role with strong growth potential within a respected GC.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in estimates.
• Strong communication skills for client and team collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple bids with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review bid specs, drawings, and docs to prepare accurate estimates.
• Build complete bid packages with all required documents.
• Support project management on budgets, trade buy-outs, and bid follow-ups.
• Analyze plans to identify scope gaps and value-engineering opportunities.
• Maintain logs of subcontractor bids and plan revisions.
• Develop RFIs, RFPs, and assist with scheduling needs.
• Communicate proactively with clients, architects, and subcontractors during bids.
