Job summary

Mach10 Solutions, a Montana-founded energy storage and manufacturing partner, seeks a mechanical engineer to design power-path hardware for grid-scale battery systems at its Berkeley, CA facility. This role focuses on custom busbars, harnesses, and enclosure components for high-volume production.

You will collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers, apply DFM for copper and sheet metal, perform thermal sizing, and guide products from concept to production in a hands-on environment with

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BS).
At least 2 years in mechanical design for power electronics or similar high-current systems.
Experience designing busbars, conductors, or wiring harnesses.
Strong thermodynamics and heat dissipation sizing.
Experience taking a product from concept to production.
DFM experience with copper, sheet metal, or plastics.
On-site work at Berkeley, CA facility.

Responsibilities

Develop and size conductors, harnesses, and busbars for high-current power distribution.
Perform thermal calculations and create analytical tools for sizing for heat management.
Integrate electrical components within large-scale enclosure systems.
Create sheet metal designs and enclosure components optimized for manufacturing.
Refine current designs to improve assembly reliability and reduce production costs.
Collaborate with external suppliers and contract manufacturers for quality component delivery.
