Job summary

The LEGO Group in Richmond, VA is seeking a High Bay Automation Maintenance Technician to support preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment. You will troubleshoot PLC, robotics, and automation systems and document actions in the CMMS.

Travel internationally up to three weeks annually for training or commissioning is required. Starting hourly rate is $36.85, with a comprehensive benefits package and a hybrid work policy averaging 3 days in the office per week.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, Electronics, Mechanics, or related field.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated equipment in manufacturing or similar environments.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, drawings, and equipment documentation.
• Must be able to safely work at heights and travel internationally for training/technical support.
• Must obtain safety certifications (LOTO, CPR, First Aid).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, robotics, and automation systems.
• Diagnose equipment issues using PLC software, HMIs, and documentation.
• Optimize equipment settings to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS and support installation/testing activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, suppliers, and OEMs on improvements.
• Train and mentor team members and support TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Adhere to LEGO safety standards including LOTO and safety training.
