Job summary

RGS Landscape & Arbor Care is seeking a Climber to perform elevated tree-care tasks and operate a bucket truck, chipper, stump grinder, and chainsaws. You will follow company policy and Foreman directions to complete daily work safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include climbing to heights of at least 75 feet, inspecting gear, maintaining equipment, and assisting in daily prep. Prior climbing experience and a valid HS diploma or GED are preferred; first aid certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of daily maintenance and safe operation of equipment used in tree care.
• Demonstrated knowledge of knots, ropes and rigging devices for trimming/removal.
• Ability to perform pre-climb equipment inspections and proper tie-in techniques.

Responsibilities

• Climbs to heights of at least 75 feet and operates tree-care machinery.
• Maintains climbing gear and equipment in safe, working condition.
• Participates in pre-job briefings and ensures safety rules are followed at all times.
• Safely uses ropes, knots and rigging to lower limbs and equipment.
• Assists Foreman with daily prep and keeps tools organized and accounted for.
