Job summary

UofL Health is seeking Registered Nurses for hospital-based PCU/MedSurg units at UofL Hospital in downtown Louisville, KY. Openings are both part-time and full-time with day and night shifts available.

The RN will deliver nursing care to patients across age groups using evidence-based nursing processes and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes. Ideal candidates include experienced RNs or new graduates who are eager to learn in a Magnet-recognized academic health system,

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required.
• New-hire associates must start a BSN program within one (1) year of hire and complete within three (3) years of hire.
• Current KY RN licensure or compact license to practice in Kentucky is required.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients across age groups using established standards.
• Conduct systematic assessments from admission to discharge across the care continuum.
• Administer and monitor medications per licensure and policy.
• Develop individualized care plans with input from the care team.
• Educate patients and families and promote safety and discharge readiness.
• Collaborate with unlicensed staff and the interdisciplinary care team.
