Job summary

Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the Main PACU, delivering high-acuity post-operative care for patients recovering from complex surgeries in the Operating Room.

The RN will manage early recovery phases, coordinate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams, and demonstrate ICU-level assessment and monitoring skills. The role requires CT licensure and PACU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in the state of Connecticut.
• 1+ years PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity care for patients recovering from trauma, cardiovascular, neurological, and other critical surgeries.
• Manage Phase 1 and 2 recovery, ensuring safe emergence from anesthesia, stabilization, and transfer readiness.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and care teams to deliver advanced interventions and uphold perioperative standards.
