Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Ambulatory Surgery Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You will deliver post-operative care to patients recovering from outpatient procedures in the Ambulatory and Main Operating Rooms.

The role requires ADN or higher, CT RN license, and at least one year of PACU experience. You will collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgeons to ensure safe recovery and timely discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an ADN is required.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• One or more years of PACU experience supporting inpatient surgical recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity post-operative care for ambulatory surgery patients.
• Manage Phase 1 and 2 recovery with safe emergence from anesthesia and discharge readiness.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and care teams to uphold perioperative standards.
