Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) seeks a motivated CDL Hi-Rail Technician to join our team. This full-time seasonal role involves spraying herbicide along railroad tracks, maintaining trucks and spray equipment, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while delivering reliable service.

You will travel for extended periods, up to 4–6 weeks at a time, with hotel accommodations and per diem provided. Training covers vegetation identification, chemical usage, safety procedures, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDL (Class A or B) with tanker and air brake endorsements.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and background check for railroad property access.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and complete assigned jobs/contracts.
• Apply herbicides along railroads.
• Mix tanks and calibrate spray equipment.
• Perform daily truck inspections, routine maintenance, and system repairs.
• Maintain accurate daily/weekly records.
• Ensure all work complies with safety guidelines and regulations.
• Communicate with customers and address complaints professionally.
• Identify vegetation types and understand proper application methods, chemicals, and safety requirements.
