Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a motivated CDL Hi-Rail Technician with a focus on safety and ethics. This full-time seasonal role involves spraying herbicide along railroad tracks, maintaining trucks and equipment, and traveling for extended periods as needed.

The position offers training in vegetation identification, chemical usage, safety procedures, and equipment operation, with opportunities for growth in vegetation management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and background check.
• CDL Class A or B with tanker and air brake endorsements.
• 5 years of total clean driving experience required.
• Willing to travel 4–6 weeks at a time.
• Typical shifts: 7am–4pm, Monday–Friday; some weekends or nights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and complete assigned jobs/contracts.
• Apply herbicides along railroads.
• Mix tanks and calibrate spray equipment.
• Perform daily truck inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Maintain accurate daily/weekly records.
• Comply with safety guidelines and regulations.
• Communicate with customers professionally.
• Identify vegetation types and proper application methods.
