Job summary

GlobalPoint HC is seeking a registered nurse for a Progressive Care/BICU oriented unit in Hawaii. The role involves primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, and patient assessment in a 15-bed Progressive Care with 1:4 CPCU and 1:3 for Step down ICU.

The shift is day shift, 36 hours per week after orientation, with no guaranteed hours and 24-hour M-F operation. ACLS preferred, PALS preferred, NIHSS certification preferred; Hawaii license required by start of assignment.

Qualifications

• Nursing skills: primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, fingerstick blood sugar.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care and telemetry monitoring for patients.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips and monitor cardiac status.
• Perform fingerstick blood glucose checks and administer care per orders.
• Float to other units in the hospital as needed (Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, ER).
• Adhere to dress code (scrubs) and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Job description

Progressive Care Unit. 15 bed unit. 3 Step down ICU; 12 telemetry. 1:4 for Progressive Care; 1:3 for Step down ICU Shift or schedule requirements. Day shift: 0645 to 1915 Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours. no Call. 24 hours of operation M-F General job duties. Types of procedures required. Primary Nursing care, Telemetry monitoring, Telemetry strip reading, Fingerstick blood sugar. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Meditech charting, Pyxis for medications, BIPAP, Continuous cardiac monitoring Required skills and minimum years of experience. At least 1 year hospital acute care within the last year. Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. ACLS preferred, current PALS preferred, NIHSS certification preferred Floating to other units/departments. Yes, will float to all acute units in house. Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU and ER possible Dress Code. Scrubs
