Job summary

GlobalPoint HC is seeking a Nursing professional for the Cardiac Progressive Care unit in Hawaii. The role involves night shifts, primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, and nurse-led patient management with continuous cardiac surveillance.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of recent acute hospital experience, Hawaii RN license, and may have ACLS/PALS and NIHSS certifications. Floating to other acute units is possible, with scrubs dress code and 24-hour operation for the unit.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year hospital acute care within the last year.
• Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred.
• ACLS and PALS preferred; NIHSS certification preferred.
• Floating to other units in house (Cardiac CPCU, Medical/Surgical/ER/ICU)

Responsibilities

• Primary Nursing care for assigned patients.
• Telemetry monitoring and strip reading.
• Fingerstick blood sugar checks.
• Use Meditech for charting; administer meds via Pyxis; operate BIPAP and monitor continuous cardiac status.
• Will float to other units/departments as needed (to CPCU, Medical/Surgical, ICU, ER)

For a specific traveler Any traveler not currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment. Progressive Care Unit. 15 bed unit. 3 Step down ICU; 12 telemetry. 1:4 for Progressive Care; 1:3 for Step down ICU Shift or schedule requirements. Night shift: 1845 to 0715 Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours. no Call. 24 hours of operation M-F General job duties. Types of procedures required. Primary Nursing care, Telemetry monitoring, Telemetry strip reading, Fingerstick blood sugar. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Meditech charting, Pyxis for medications, BIPAP, Continuous cardiac monitoring Required skills and minimum years of experience. At least 1 year hospital acute care within the last year. Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. ACLS preferred, current PALS preferred, NIHSS certification preferred Floating to other units/departments. Yes, will float to all acute units in house. Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU and ER possible Dress Code. Scrubs
