Job summary

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Material Handler for our Shipping and Receiving team. If you have Hi-Lo experience, you will handle orders, stock replenishment, loading/unloading trucks and inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

You will operate Hi-lo or picker equipment, use barcode scanners and RF units, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time shipments.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Shipping/Receiving, Hi-Lo or related experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to efficiently work in a high paced environment.
• Ability to work with other team members on the production floor.
• Ability to communicate cross-functionally throughout the organization.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operates standing or sit-down Hi-lo or picker
• Uses a barcode scanner through-out the day
• Picks orders for shipment
• Labels shipments
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Replenishes inventories
• Conducts inventory transactions on RF units with accuracy
• Other duties as assigned
