Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate home care aides to support clients in their daily activities, promoting dignity and independence. You will assist with bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, and provide companionship in a patient-centered approach.

We value reliability, strong communication, and the ability to follow care plans. Training and opportunities for advancement are available in a supportive team environment across the Norfolk and Suffolk Counties areas.

Qualifications

• Requires CNA or HHA certification or caregiving experience.
• Proficiency in English must be demonstrated.
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities to maintain dignity and comfort.
• Support mobility, transfers, and light exercise.
• Prepare and serve meals to ensure healthy nutrition.
• Provide medication reminders and training as needed.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment.
• Transport clients to appointments or errands; miles reimbursed.
• Uphold trust and integrity within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming; your support helps our clients maintain dignity and comfort
• Assist with Mobility, Transfers, Light Exercise or Walking
• Prepare and serve meals so clients have tasty and healthy food
• Medication reminders are crucial to our client’s health, we will train you
• Provide companionship, engage in fun activities and be the friendly face and joyful presence that makes every day a little brighter
• Show enthusiasm for helping others, eagerness to learn, and motivation to provide excellent care
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients' homes
• Occasional Transportation of your client to appointments or errands, we reimburse your miles
• Demonstrate dedication to our clients and respect for our agency’s close knit team

Requirements

• Proficiency in English
• Current CNA or HHA certification or caregiving experience
• Nursing students seeking patient care experience
• Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus but not necessary; what matters most is your kindness and eagerness to make a difference
• Strong communication skills and a caring nature because a warm, empathetic approach is at the heart of what we do
