Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking a dedicated HHA/CNA to join a Naples, FL team. You will provide compassionate, elder and disabled person care per the plan of care and nursing supervision, including bathing, grooming, meal prep and light housekeeping.

You will assist with activities, transportation to appointments, and daily tasks while maintaining client dignity and safety. A valid FL certification, CPR, and a year of experience are required, with a strong emphasis on empathy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• HHA certificate or CNA license in good standing (FL).
• CPR certification is required.
• Alzheimer's, HIV/AIDS and self-medication CEUs are preferred.
• TB test or chest X-ray, physical exam, and medical clearance are required.
• Minimum one year of relevant home care experience.
• Valid FL driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide care as directed by a nursing supervisor per care plan.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, brushing teeth, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with daily tasks including feeding, meal prep, linen changes and light housekeeping.
• Provide transportation to doctor appointments and accompany clients as needed.
• Engage clients in indoor/outdoor activities and errands.

Responsibilities

• Providing care as directed by a nursing supervisor, including but not limited to:

bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, taking and recording vital signs.

• Providing care according to the patient's plan of care, assistance with daily tasks, including but not limited to:

feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, providing transportation to doctor appointments, indoor/outdoor activities, and shopping

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• HHA Certificate and/or Certified Nursing Assistant License in Good Standing with the State of FL
• Certified in CPR
• Alzheimer's (2 hour), HIV/AIDs and Assist with Self Medications CEU’s
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Physical Exam
• Minimum one (1) year experience
• Drivers License, valid and in good standing with the State of FL
• Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
• Empathy for the needs of the client
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
• Treats clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image.
• Works as a team member.
• Ensures confidentiality and security of the client's medical and non-medical information.
• Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
