Job summary

Split Rock Rehabilitation & Health Care Center seeks compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) to assist residents with transportation and non-clinical support throughout the facility. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with seniors and helping residents maintain comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Responsibilities include safely transporting residents, assisting with mobility devices, and supporting residents with non-clinical needs during transport, while observing changes

Qualifications

• Current New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required.
• Previous experience in nursing home or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to safely transport and assist residents with mobility needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from therapy, activities, dining rooms, appointments, and other areas.
• Assist residents with wheelchairs, stretchers, and other mobility equipment.
• Provide support with resident comfort and non-clinical needs during transport.
• Escort residents to activities and appointments as directed.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Maintain a courteous, professional, and resident-centered approach at all times.
• Follow facility policies regarding safety, infection control, and resident rights.
• Assist with keeping transportation equipment clean and in good working order.
• Support nursing and interdisciplinary teams as needed.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with seniors and helping residents maintain their comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

• Assist residents with wheelchairs, stretchers, and other mobility equipment.
• Provide support with resident comfort and non-clinical needs during transport.
