Amedisys Home Health is seeking an RN for a PRN home health position in Portland, Maine. The role involves coordinating and overseeing comprehensive in-home patient care, collaborating with care teams, and educating families about conditions and needs.

Responsibilities include head-to-toe assessments, vital sign checks, medication management, injections, IV therapy, catheter care, and thorough documentation. Supervisory duties for LPNs/HHAs may apply as needed.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience as a registered nurse (RN). If less than 1 year clinical experience as a RN, candidate must be approved by VP clinical.
• Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Minimum six months home health experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
• Able to assess patient status and identify requirements relative to age specific needs.
• Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs, using files and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.
