Job summary

Concept Resources is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver / Loader to work in a busy Brentwood waste and recycling service.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, driving the class 2 vehicle and assisting with loading duties as part of the collection crew, while upholding health and safety standards and delivering a professional service to the public. You will participate in daily vehicle checks, report issues promptly, and ensure routes are followed accurately.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence is essential.
• Experience driving refuse collection vehicles preferred.
• Ability to assist with loading and manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Driving an HGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicle
• Completing scheduled refuse and recycling collection routes
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety and defect checks
• Ensuring the vehicle is operated safely and responsibly
• Working alongside refuse loaders as part of the collection crew
• Assisting with the loading of refuse and recycling when required
• Manoeuvring the vehicle safely in residential and commercial areas
• Following designated collection routes and schedules
• Reporting vehicle defects, missed collections and operational issues
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures
• Providing a professional service when dealing with members of the public
