Job summary

QXO is seeking a field energy tester in the Nashville/Murfreesboro area to perform blower door, duct leakage, and ventilation tests on new homes. Training is provided for candidates who are teachable; certification such as RESNET/HERS is preferred, with additional energy testing knowledge valued.

You will travel to local construction sites and log results in company software. Ideal candidates are dependable, comfortable with computers, and able to read plans, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Training provided for teachable candidates.
• Existing RESNET RFI / HERS Rater certification strongly preferred.
• Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office; able to read basic building plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct energy efficiency testing and punch list inspections on new construction homes.
• Perform blower door testing and ventilation testing.
• Conduct duct leakage testing and energy code inspections.
• Verify HERS, Energy Star or other program ratings.
• Coordinate with site superintendents on scheduling and test troubleshooting; log results.
• Prepare home performance reports and communicate standards to customers.
