Job summary
Mental Health Connecticut is seeking a HERO Program Supervisor to lead the Housing Empowering Recovery Opportunities program in the Waterbury/Torrington area. The role provides supervision to housing specialists, oversees referrals, and supports individuals in recovery from opioid use disorder through housing subsidies and intensive case management.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Social Science or related field (or an Associate with related experience) and familiarity with CT human
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Social Science or related field.
- Familiarity with CT state human service systems and related mandates.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain staff schedules across the program(s).
- Assist in distribution of referrals and workloads to staff.
- Assist with hiring, interviews, and onboarding of new employees.
- Provide orientation and training for new staff.
- Represent MHC with funders and outside agencies.
- Research subsidized housing, vouchers and grant opportunities.
- Complete operational reports, data collection, and monthly summaries.
- Provide resource linkage for behavioral health and housing needs.
- Supervise staff and manage performance reviews.
- Identify and provide emergency crisis services as needed.
