Job summary

The Program Manager, S.M. Tracy Herbarium, at Texas A&M Agrilife Research coordinates day-to-day activities, staff supervision, and digitization workflows to support the Herbarium’s collections and services.

You will assist with budgeting, reporting, and outreach, ensuring data quality and effective communication with partners. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with five years of related experience, plus knowledge of botany and herbarium operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of related experience.
• Knowledge of botany, herbarium collections, digitization, and program administration.
• Effective verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates day-to-day activities supporting administration and operation of the S.M. Tracy Herbarium.
• Supervises program support staff and student assistants, coordinating collections and digitization workflows.
• Assists with budgeting, reporting, communications, and program materials.
• Coordinates access for visiting researchers and other collection users, and supports outreach activities.
