Job summary

University of Minnesota Physicians in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Hepatology team. The role provides primary, inpatient, and consult services for patients with liver conditions.

You will perform exams, order tests, interpret results, prescribe medications, and collaborate with hepatologists to coordinate care. Strong emphasis on interdisciplinary teamwork and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program.
• Current MN RN license with prescriptive authority or PA license with MN prescriptive authority.
• ANCC/AANP certification or NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate care for patients with liver conditions.
• Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures.
• Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medication and recommend treatment.
• Consult with physicians and make referrals as needed.
