Job summary

BioMarin seeks an experienced HEOR Associate Director to lead payer evidence strategies and patient‑relevant outcomes initiatives across early‑stage assets. You will build alignment with Value & Access, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development and Regulatory teams to deliver differentiated HTA-ready evidence packages.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Pharma with HEOR roles; at least 2 years in patient-relevant outcomes research.
• Advanced degree in health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, public health, or related field.
• Strong understanding of market access, value and global HTA frameworks.
• Experience supporting development and execution of patient-relevant outcomes strategies.
• Experience evaluating and validating PRO measures for regulatory, payer and HTA decisions.
• Experience supporting HTA submissions, value dossiers, and patient-relevant briefing books.
• Ability to collaborate across Value & Access, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development & Regulatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead payer evidence strategies aligned with brand and Value & Access priorities for early‑stage assets.
• Collaborate with Value & Access, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development & Regulatory organizations.
• Contribute to understanding of payer and HTA requirements related to PRO endpoints and health utility measurement.
• Support assessment of patient-relevant outcomes requirements for HTA and access to enable differentiation and value demonstration.
• Ensure payer evidence requirements are integrated into clinical development plans to enable patient access.
• Lead cross-functional, asset-specific patient-relevant outcomes strategies informed by disease models.
• Support planning and implementation of patient-relevant endpoints in trials.
• Lead early Joint Clinical Assessment strategy development across markets.
• Assess payer evidence gaps and inform future evidence planning for early-stage assets.
• Manage external partners in PRO development/validation and health-state valuation studies.
• Support interactions with HTA agencies and regulators; prepare briefing materials.
• In partnership with IET, analyze patient-relevant data to generate insights for HTA and payer.
• Shape strategic scientific communication plans and publish research.
