Job summary

Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support invasive lab procedures, prep patients, and monitor vital signs. You will assist with transfers, room turnover, and post-procedure care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

This is a full-time day-shift role based in Troy, Michigan. Required CNA experience or enrollment in nursing school is a plus, along with BLS (AHA/ARC) certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred CNA certification or enrollment in nursing school.
• Prior Nursing Assistant experience is preferred.
• Preferred ability to interact well with patients and take vital signs.
• Required CRT-BLS - BLS certification by AHA or ARC upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with prepping patients for procedures and obtaining vital signs.
• Assist with room turnover, sterile table setup, and post-procedure care.
• Assist in transferring patients and maintaining IVs, catheters, and tubes for safety.

About Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital

In response to the health care needs of a growing community, in 1977, Corewell opened a new 189-bed hospital on rural farmland in Troy. Today, Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital has grown to 530 licensed beds and offers a comprehensive array of health care services, continuing to develop to meet the needs of the growing communities it serves.

Scope of Work

• Assist with prepping patients for procedures, applying ECG patches, obtaining vital signs, shaving patients’ groins or other areas as necessary.
• Assist with room turnover, sterile table set up, femoral arterial and venous line pulls, radial band removal, bed pans, feeding, and walking post procedure, assist with patient discharge.
• Assists in the transfer of patients from stretcher and wheelchair to procedure table while maintaining the safety and patency of patient IV's, catheters, and tubes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred Previous experience, certification (CNA), or enrollment in a nursing school is a preferred qualification.
• Prior Nursing Assistant experience.
• Preferred Ability to interact well with patients and take vital signs.
• Required CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Required Upon Hire
• Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Required
