Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL seeks a Hemodialysis Technician to support the Registered Nurse in patient care during hemodialysis. This full-time position covers day shifts 9a-9p with rotating weekends and holidays, offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Hemodialysis Technician is an unlicensed health care provider responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse in the care of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment within scope of practice. Responsibilities include maintenance and disinfection of dialysis equipment, ordering and stocking supplies necessary for in- patient dialysis treatment. Monitoring and cleaning supply area as well as other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 2. One year of hemodialysis experience preferred.
• 3. Hemodialysis Technician Certification, or equivalent training.
• 4. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable, required):

• 1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
