Job summary

Children's Mercy in Kansas City is seeking a dialysis technician to assist with patient care, monitor, disinfect, and maintain equipment used for dialysis treatments, and manage supplies for the water purification system.

The successful candidate will join a team dedicated to compassionate care, with emphasis on safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement. This on-site role requires immunization per policy and offers opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and No Experience necessary.
• On-the-Job Training Dialysis experience preferred. Child care and/or other health care experience preferred.
• One of the following required within 1 year: Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician; Certification for Clinical Nephrology Technology; Certified Hemodialysis Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assists professional nursing staff with patient care activities.
• Prepares, monitors, disassembles and disinfects all equipment used for dialysis treatments.
• Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficiency of operations.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.

Overview

The dialysis technician assists with patient care and department activities, as directed by the professional dialysis staff. The technician prepares, monitors, and disinfects equipment used for dialysis treatments and maintains the equipment necessary for the water purification system. The technician maintains inventory control of all medical supplies.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $19.10/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
