Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Baltimore seeks a Patient Care Technician to support the hemodialysis team in delivering safe dialysis therapy. You will work under the supervision of the FMCNA RN, assist with treatments, monitor patients, and ensure accurate documentation and equipment setup.

The role requires a High School Diploma, a PCT certification, 1–2 years of related experience, and a willingness to travel between facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a valid PCT national certification or CMS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the supervision of the FMCNA RN for assigned patients in the acute setting.
• May set up and prime dialysis equipment as directed by the Fresenius Nurse for renal therapies.
• Obtains pre/post treatment vital signs and weight; reports any unusual findings to the FMCNA RN.
• Records and documents vital signs and treatment parameters.
• Initiates renal replacement treatment as prescribed (QB/QD or PD) and ensures safety alarms are enabled.
