Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 months of nursing experience with at least 3 months in dialysis
• One year clinical experience and six months dialysis experience
• Successful completion of a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis
• Good communication skills - verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance and direction to direct patient care staff
• Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments
• Supervise the safe and effective use of dialysis equipment and participate in start-up/shut-down procedures
• Participate in patient care plan meetings and educate patients and families about dialysis therapy and related care
• Ensure compliance with facility procedures and regulatory requirements and coordinate with Clinical Manager
