Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Supervisor, Laboratory Operations for the Hematopathology service to lead technical, operational, and quality initiatives. This role ensures safe, reliable daily operations for pediatric oncology, stem cell transplant, and clinical trial services in collaboration with laboratory administration and clinical partners.

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Medical Technology, 5+ years of clinical lab experience with high-complexity testing, and at least 3

Qualifications

• B.S. in Medical Technology or equivalent; CLIA qualifications for Moderate complexity.
• 5+ years in a clinical laboratory with high-complexity testing.
• 3+ years in a supervisor or lead role.
• ASCP/AAB/AMT eligible; must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Flow cytometry and hematology experience preferred; bone marrow morphology helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day oversight for high-complexity hematopathology testing.
• Ensure accurate, safe testing within regulatory requirements and turnaround times.
• Partner with leaders to evaluate and implement new assays, methods, and workflows.
• Serve as a resource for staff, physicians, and clinical stakeholders.
• Act as liaison to oncology, stem cell transplant, and clinical trials teams.
• Maintain readiness for inspections and drive corrective actions.
• Lead, coach, and develop technical and non-technical staff.
• Support budgets, staffing, inventory, and equipment records.
• Evaluate LIS processes and maintain documentation.
