Job summary

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia seeks a seasoned Clinical Laboratory Manager to lead a new Hematologic Malignancy Laboratory within Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. You will set high‑complexity testing standards and oversee operations, quality, and budgets, aligning lab services with clinical care for pediatric oncology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science field.
  • At least five years of practical laboratory experience.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience (preferred).
  • Flow cytometry and hematology experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational launch and ongoing management of the hematologic malignancy lab.
  • Set professional and quality standards for high-complexity testing (bone marrow morphology, flow cytometry).
  • Oversee budgets, staffing, and capital purchases; ensure timely, accurate results.
  • Collaborate with bone marrow transplant, oncology, clinical trials coordinators, and clinicians to optimize service delivery.
