Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) in Lubbock, TX seeks an experienced Hematopathologist in the Department of Pathology to provide diagnostic services and active involvement in education, research, and professional activities. Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent.
• Completion of an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency program.
• Completion, or in the process of completing, a Hematopathology fellowship.
• ABMS Board Certified, Board Eligible or in the process of completing training to become Board Eligible by the American Board of Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Utilization of flow cytometry, histology, immunohistochemistry, cytogenetics, DNA sequencing and other molecular analysis to make diagnoses and predict responses to therapy;
• Identify cancers and blood disorders, sharing results with a multi-disciplinary team to guide treatment;
• Participate in quality improvement programs established by the department or hospital; and
• Provide instruction and education to fellows, residents, medical students and other learners.

Education
