Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks a diagnostic hematopathologist to assume patient care responsibilities in Hematopathology.

Responsibilities include interpretation of bone marrow and lymph node specimens, reporting and consulting, and teaching of fellows and residents; licensed in Texas and board certified (or eligible); collaboration in research with internal and external investigators.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate-level degree and Texas licensure; board certification required or within department timeline.
  • 2 years' experience as Instructor or 5 years' experience post degree in clinical roles.
  • Appropriate post medical doctoral training per discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Interpretation, reporting and consulting of bone marrow and lymph node specimens of hematological malignancies.
  • Present lectures and train fellows, post‑doctoral fellows, medical students, technologists, and laboratory personnel.
  • Collaborate with other investigators and contribute to research publications.
