Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Department of Pathology invites applications for a board-certified/eligible pathologist to join our experienced faculty in Lubbock, Texas. The role emphasizes anatomic pathology with engagement in education, research, and professional activities.

The major functions include diagnostic work across histology, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, cytogenetics, and molecular analyses, with opportunities to teach fellows, residents and students

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent.
• Completion of an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency program.
• Completion, or in the process of completing, a Hematopathology fellowship.
• ABMS Board Certified, Board Eligible or in the process of completing training to become Board Eligible by the American Board of Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Utilize flow cytometry, histology, immunohistochemistry, cytogenetics, DNA sequencing and other molecular analyses to make diagnoses and predict therapy responses.
• Identify cancers and blood disorders, sharing results with a multidisciplinary team to guide treatment.
• Participate in quality improvement programs established by the department or hospital.
• Provide instruction and education to fellows, residents, medical students and other learners.
