Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking a staff hematopathologist to join the Division of Hematopathology within the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. The division includes 43 hematopathologists, cytogeneticists, clinical pathologists and hematologists, delivering a broad practice across benign and malignant hematopathology.

The successful candidate will participate in teaching and clinical scholarship, with opportunities for translational research and career development

Responsibilities

The Division of Hematopathology in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, isactively recruiting a staff hematopathologist. The Division includes 43 hematopathologists, cytogeneticists, clinical pathologists and hematologists whose diverse clinical practice encompasses all aspects of benign and malignant hematopathology from both the internal Mayo Clinic practice and the Mayo Clinic Laboratories (MCL) reference laboratory. Our faculty is committed to excellence in clinical practice, education, and translational research. Qualifications

Qualified candidates must be American Board of Pathology-board certified/eligible in Hematopathology. Candidates must possess solid diagnostic skills in bone marrow and/or lymph node pathology. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in clinical teaching and academic activities. This would include junior candidates who intend to develop a career focused on Hematopathology as well as mid-career candidates who have a proven clinical record and strong academic interests. Both recent graduates and experienced pathologists are encouraged to apply.

Compensation Detail

The minimum starting salary for Laboratory specialties may range from $305,500.00 to $489,000.00. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
