Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) to deliver direct patient care in hematology/oncology settings in Palo Alto, CA. The role requires California RN licensure, BLS, and adherence to practice standards.

The CN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while collaborating with the healthcare team and educating patients and families. Strong communication in English, with 2+ years in hematology/oncology or ambulatory care preferred, and ACLS/ONS credentials may be required

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred.
• California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.
• Two years of hematology and/or oncology experience preferred.
• Two years of ambulatory experience preferred.
• ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes therapeutic relationships and provides patient- and family-centered care.
• Performs comprehensive nursing assessments and plans care collaboratively.
• Implements and evaluates nursing and medical interventions safely.
• Teaches patients and staff, tailoring information to learning needs.
