Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Des Moines, IA seeks a Hematology/Oncology physician to provide expert consultation and comprehensive care for Veterans in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role includes collaboration with APRNs/PAs, participation in multidisciplinary teams, and contributions to education and research when applicable. A full VA benefits package and EDRP support are offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD or DO degree.
• Active, full, unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
• Board certification in Hematology/Oncology or equivalent.
• Completed residency in an approved program leading to board eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation and treatment for hematology/oncology patients.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient Hem/Onc care at VA Des Moines.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage in quality improvement and professional development.
• Supervise and mentor trainees as applicable.
