Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician to provide expert care to Veterans in an inpatient and outpatient setting at the VA Medical Center. You will support advanced practice providers and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive cancer care.

Applicants must hold an MD and be board eligible or certified, with proficiency in English and a valid US licensure.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Preferred 1 year field experience.
• Physician must meet VA basic requirements and licensure standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation and treatment for hematology/oncology patients.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations including history, exams, and ordering tests.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients and families.
