Hem-Onc physician needed in Rocky Mount, NC

Position Description:

UNC Cancer Care at Nash is seeking a physician to join a team of 2 physicians and 2 APPs. The ideal candidate has completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology and is BC/BE in Internal Medicine and Hematology and Medical Oncology.

This provider will see all tumor types, with interest in sub-types such as Gastrointestinal or Genitourinary conditions. Call will be 1:3 with very low volume, phone only.

The Danny Talbott Cancer Center is a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program offering services including hematology/oncology, radiation oncology, infusion services, clinical research, and support programs. The team supports patients from diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, and comfort care, benefiting from UNC's clinical trials and research, with coordinated care between Nash oncologists and UNC specialists.

In addition to clinical duties, the role involves about 10% of time dedicated to program development, focusing on expanding access to clinical trials in collaboration with UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
