Job description

This prestigious healthcare group is seeking an experienced hematology oncologist to join a Commission on Cancer accredited program in a beautiful coastal North Carolina community.

Highlights of the Position:

1. Live in one of the top-rated coastal locations in the United States.
2. Join an established community cancer program, fully accredited with commendation by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, with approximately 150 analytic cases annually; includes an ACRO-accredited Radiation Therapy Center.
3. Work within an established hematology/oncology practice with a strong referral base and an 11-bay infusion suite staffed by chemo-certified RNs.
4. Support from NP/PA staff.
5. Be part of a new facility opening in 2022 that will house all Cancer Services in one location.
6. Access to Palliative Care Services through a multidisciplinary Symptom Management Team.
7. Navigation services provided by an Oncology Nurse Navigator and an Oncology Social Worker, with established referral relationships at regional academic and tertiary sites.
8. Onsite dietician and outpatient rehabilitation services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, lymphedema, and speech therapy.
9. Work with an engaging, cohesive team of oncology providers and staff offering Radiation Therapy, General Surgery, Radiology, and Pathology services.
10. Consult with an Integrative Medicine provider for additional support.
11. Participate in a multidisciplinary cancer committee with monthly tumor boards and bi-monthly Breast Tumor Boards.
12. Collaborate with over 30 referring providers to the Cancer service line.
13. Opportunity to serve as Medical Director with a stipend.
14. The clinic is located just two blocks from the beach.
15. This is an employed, non-academic, outpatient position with shared after-hours and weekend call.
