A full-time locums Hematology / Oncology Physician is needed in Joplin, MO, to provide care for hematology patients, perform consults and follow-ups, and potentially conduct procedures like bone marrow biopsies. The role involves a 24-hour on-call coverage during weekends and scheduled call rotation, with responsibilities primarily centered around diagnosing and managing cancer-related conditions. The position is based at Mercy Joplin Cancer Center, equipped with advanced cancer treatment technologies including robotic surgery and specialized radiation treatments.

Full-time provider needed. Call coverage rotation can be scheduled.

Active MO License

Clinic : Monday to Friday 8A - 5P

Call : 24 hr on-call coverage weekends

Dates needing covered :

1. Aug 1-5
2. Aug 29-Sept 3
3. Sept 6-9
4. Sept 12-16
5. Oct 3-7
6. Oct 10-14
7. Nov 21-23 Thanksgiving Week

Duties : Primarily Hematology patients

Procedures : Consults, follow-ups - possible bone marrow

Call Type : beeper with some consultation.

Call Back : 1 - 4 consults per weekend

Admissions : patients admitted to hospitalist service

Site Location : Mercy Joplin Cancer Center

Hospital and / Clinic : Clinic (Hospital on-call weekend only)
