Locums - Las Cruces, New Mexico, Hematology/Oncology Opening

Clinical Role:

• Start Date: 6/1/25 - Ongoing need
• Coverage: 1 week/month from July to December, with additional coverage needs
• Hours: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday to Friday
• Weekend call: 24-hour call shifts
• Weekday call: Shared among employed providers, involves answering questions from RN about patient concerns, chemo days, and minimal ED consults
• Patients: approximately 17
• Support Staff: Medical Assistants (1), several RNs
• Pharmacy: Responsible for educational starts for chemo
• Location: Same facility as radiation oncology
• Facility: Accepts multiple providers, hospital is Stroke Certified
• Phone Consults: 2 per day
• Patient Management: Assigned and unassigned patients
• Response Time: 20 minutes for call response
• Admissions: 1
• Call Ratio: 1:2
• Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible; Fellowship preferred; BLS required
• Facility Level: Trauma Level IV
• EMR System: Mosiaq
