Job summary

Altru Cancer Center in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist to join the oncology team providing comprehensive care with a multidisciplinary group including Radiation Oncology and Palliative care. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, counseling on prevention, and maintaining documentation to ensure quality care and appropriate reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Doctorate within specified field of medical practice from an accredited school.
• Must be admitted to sit for either the Canadian or American Board or be certified by the Canadian Board and are members of either the Royal College of Physicians or Royal College of Surgeons, American board certification or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) board certification.
• Board certification in area of specialty must be obtained within six years of employment.
• Must be granted medical staff appointments at Altru and associated facilities as are necessary to the commission of duties prior to commencement of employment.
• Must be insurable under the Health System's professional liability carrier prior to commencement of employment.
• Be legally licensed to practice medicine by the North Dakota Board of Medicine and/or Minnesota Board of Medicine, depending on the location of the practice to which they are assigned.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation ensuring quality patient care and assurance of appropriate reimbursements to Altru.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position: Hematologist/Oncologist at Altru Cancer Center Team at Altru Health System includes: -350+ Altru physicians and advanced practice providers, and our Oncology team includes: -Comprehensive team of Hematology/Oncology, Radiation Oncologist, Palliative care physician and advanced practice providers -Procedures optional: Bone Marrow Biopsies -Call: Rotating with APP support during the week -Average patients/day: 12-14 -Equipment available: 4D CT Scanner -Voice dictation available: Yes, DAX The Hematology and Oncology Physicians role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients at Altru, providing comprehensive care for injuries and illnesses.
