Altru Health System Grand Forks, ND seeks a BE/BC Urologist to join a collaborative urology team with both inpatient and outpatient APP support. The role offers immediate patient volume, a balanced schedule including OR, clinic and procedure days, and shared call within a supportive group.

Qualifications

  • Medical Doctorate within a medical practice field is required.
  • Must be admissible to sit for either the Canadian or American Board, or be certified by the Canadian Board and be a member of the Royal College of Physicians or Royal College of Surgeons; American board certification or AOA board certification may apply.
  • Must possess or be eligible for medical licensure in North Dakota and/or Minnesota.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, diagnoses and treats patients with a full spectrum of urologic care.
  • Counsels patients and advises on preventative healthcare measures.
  • Maintains documentation to ensure quality patient care and appropriate reimbursements.

This is an exceptional opportunity to practice broad-based urology while contributing to the growth of specialized men's health services within a supportive and well-resourced health system. Balanced schedule including: 2 OR days 3 clinic days 2.5 procedure days Call required, shared within a supportive group. Bread-and-butter urology with the opportunity to expand into areas of interest-especially men's health services, where the program is poised for significant growth.

Essential Job Functions:

Evaluates, provides diagnosis and treatment of patients of Altru who present with injuries or illnesses. Counsels patients and advises on preventative healthcare measures. Exercises Doctor's own judgment in the diagnosis and treatment of patients consistent with Altru's policies and standards.Achieves the Altru Patient Engagement and Quality & Safety goals established on an annual basis. Participates in activities and support department goals as defined by department on an annual basis.Maintains accurate and timely documentation ensuring quality patient care and assurance of appropriate reimbursements to Altru.Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Doctorate within specified field of medical practice from respective accredited school.Must be admissible to sit for either the Canadian or American Board or be certified by the Canadian Board and are members of either the Royal College of Physicians or Royal College of Surgeons, American board certification or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) board certification. Board certification in area of specialty must be obtained within five years of employment.Must be granted medical staff appointments at Altru and associated facilities as are necessary to the commission of duties prior to commencement of employment. Must be insurable under the Health System's professional liability carrier prior to commencement of employment. Doctor of Optometry, Chiropractic Medicine and Podiatry must have graduated from respective accredited schools. Be legally licensed to practice medicine in North Dakota and/or Minnesota, depending on the location of the practice to which they are assigned.
