Hematologist / Oncologist needed in NW Ohio. Incredible practice opportunity located near Toledo. This Northwestern Ohio practice is seeking a Hematology/Oncology provider to join its team. Hospital employed position in which the provider will be joining an experienced team. Easy access to Columbus and Toledo metro areas for events and airports. Flexible scheduling available (5 days per week, 3 - 12 hour shifts, week on / week off).
Compensation includes a $500k salary, $50k sign-on bonus, $100k student loan repayment, and $10k relocation assistance. As a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, Hematology/Oncology physicians have access to advanced resources and clinical expertise.
The practice has recently undergone a complete renovation, including expansion of their onsite lab and pharmacy, addition of nine new state-of-the-art exam rooms, eight infusion bays, as well as linear accelerator upgrades and replacement of the CT Simulator. It is a fully comprehensive, CoC-accredited, stand-alone regional cancer center offering Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology (with two linear accelerators and one CT Simulator), Infusion services (currently 18 chairs), Pharmacy, Lab, Genetic Counseling, Clinical & Financial Navigation, Nutrition Services, Clinical Trials, and GYN-Oncology.
Other features include an on-site laboratory and pharmacy with a board-certified oncology pharmacist, infusion and radiation therapy services. The clinic sees approximately 1,200 new patients annually, with hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The patient mix is approximately 50% Hematology and 50% Oncology, with most common cases being breast, colon, lung, and prostate cancers. Inpatient call is 1:4, with seven consecutive days, with hospitalists admitting all patients. The practice uses an integrated EMR system throughout the health system with Cerner.
