We are seeking a dedicated Hematologist Oncologist to join our team in Berwyn, IL. As a Hematology Oncologist, you will provide comprehensive care for patients with blood disorders and cancers, including lymphoma, leukemia, multiple myeloma, and solid tumors. The ideal candidate will have experience in both hematology and oncology and a passion for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat patients with hematologic conditions (e.g., anemia, clotting disorders, leukemia) and cancers (e.g., lymphoma, breast, lung, and colon cancer).
Develop individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and stem cell transplants.
Administer chemotherapy and other intravenous treatments, managing side effects and ensuring patient comfort.
Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on test results, imaging, and response to therapy.
Provide patient education on treatment options, side effects, and supportive care, ensuring that patients and their families understand their diagnosis and care plans.
Interpret lab results (e.g., CBC, bone marrow biopsy) and imaging studies (e.g., CT, PET scans) to develop accurate diagnoses.
Collaborate with other specialists, including surgeons, radiologists, and medical oncologists, to provide coordinated care.
Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case discussions to assess complex cases and provide recommendations for treatment.
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and document all patient interactions in compliance with medical and legal standards.
Stay current with the latest research and advancements in hematology and oncology through continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.
