Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Medical Director to provide Clinical Development leadership for late-stage hematology trials. You will oversee study design, conduct, and analysis, partnering with regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, biostatistics, and medical affairs to maintain scientific and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Clinical Development experience required.
• Medical degree with 4+ years experience.
• Primary medical degree (MD/DO/MBBS/MBChB) from recognized institution.
• Licensed to prescribe medicines independently for at least 2 years post-intern/house officer/foundation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Clinical Scientists to lead 2–3 study teams aligned with company objectives.
• Conduct medical monitoring: eligibility assessment, data review, safety monitoring.
• Lead peer-to-peer interactions with investigators.
• Serve as point of contact for clinical issues across study team, investigators, ethics/steering committees, and regulatory authorities.
• Lead/contribute to development and maintenance of clinical trial and regulatory documents.
• Review and interpret clinical data; identify key findings and implications; communicate to internal/external stakeholders.
• Stay current on literature, guidelines, and developments to guide current/future clinical development plans.

Job Summary

The Medical Director provides Clinical Development leadership for late-phase clinical trials, overseeing design, conduct, and analysis in Hematology. Partners with regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, biostatistics, and medical affairs to ensure scientific, ethical, and regulatory standards. Provides medical expertise to clinical operations, investigators, and external stakeholders (health authorities, ethics committees, patient advocacy groups).

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Clinical Scientists to lead 2–3 study teams aligned with company objectives.
• Conduct medical monitoring: eligibility assessment, data review, safety monitoring.

Work/Travel

Travel ~4 times/year; hybrid role working on‑site ~2.5 days/week.

Compensation/Benefits (if part of posting)

• Base salary: $239,900–$399,800; bonus target 25%; eligible for share‑based long‑term incentives; 401(k) and additional retirement contribution; paid vacation/holidays/personal days; caregiver/parental and medical leave; medical/prescription/dental/vision coverage.

May be available based on business needs/eligibility.
