Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital Hematology/Oncology/Infusion Clinic seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our infusion team at the Macon Pond location in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on hematology and oncology infusions, with a strong emphasis on compassionate patient care and collaboration with the oncology team.

Infusion experience is preferred, and the unit offers a comprehensive cancer care program with modern infusion services and on-site labs.

Qualifications

• Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience is required.
• BSN or higher is required; ADN or Diploma accepted with plan to pursue BSN.
• Nurses with a non-BSN must enroll in a BSN program within two years and complete it within seven years.
• Must obtain NC nursing license within 90 days if holding a compact license.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Individualize care plans based on patient assessment.
• Delegate tasks and supervise licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Act as team leader/charge nurse as assigned.
• Monitor environment and equipment; ensure safety and resources.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and education.
• Preceptor and mentor other staff and learners.
• Identify opportunities for quality and performance improvement.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
